Sig - Keela may still be counted among the living, which is more than we could have hoped for, but I can't help thinking that agreeing to return here was a mistake. Even if she bears us no ill will, I can't imagine she’s forgiven us for leaving her these last five years. Would she even return with us if we manage to find her?
Beyond the matter of forgiveness, the cost of this journey is beginning to take its toll. We nearly lost Danin to the two headed dogs and their bite may claim a victim or two in the next couple days. The wounds in my arm are beginning to fester despite Danin’s care to look after them. I don't know about Beidrick but if my fever doesn't break during the night… well… I just know that I should be in a bed, resting, trying to recover. Instead, I’m staggering through a forest trying to hide from an ogre and its boulder shattering javelins. From where I’m standing now, this was all a terrible idea.
