Sig - Having a chance to clean up after being on the road has a way of emphasizing just how harsh traveling can be. There was practically no end to the salt, dirt, blood, and grime that clung to everything I had brought with me. Grandfather thinks that I may grow accustomed to that lifestyle; he has seemed to sense some wanderlust in me. He offered up information, possibly to test that wanderlust, of unclaimed land not far from Hlofreden that may have valuable resources. I think it may be worth the time to look in to as steady coin flowing to my coffer is never something to scoff at. I somewhat doubt I’ll be able to convince Beidrick to abandon his boat for another adventure, but the others will be an easy sell.
Information on the land wasn’t the only piece of wisdom shared, we spoke more in depth on the return to the isle and Keela. I’m familiar with some of the witchcraft that we have seen over last week or so through my grandfather, but as I described some of it he made it clear that parts were beyond even his control. This calls in to question whether or not Keela was truly the hand behind some, possibly any, of those deeds. Would she really grow so powerful in only five years serving as a slave?
This line of thought seems to bring only more questions. If Keela was not in control of the eye that Bromm shot out of the air, then who else would have sent that box and been so interested in us? If Keela didn’t send the box where was she when it was sent and why did she pass through Hlofreden right before we returned?
